Candlewick Ward Club Annual Breakfast 
St Lawrence Jewry & Carpenters’ Hall

You are warmly invited , as one of the City's finest, to the (legendary) Candlewick Annual Breakfast, which this year will include the formal installation of Elizabeth Walkinshaw as Chairman for 2027-9, succeeding James St John Davis.

The festivities will begin with a traditional Service of Lessons & Carols at the magnificent St Lawrence Jewry, one of the City’s finest Christopher Wren churches and spiritual home of the City of London Corporation, which has hosted our annual Service on several occasions in the past. We look forward to welcoming you and your guests for a joyful celebration of readings and (heartily sung) carols to mark the beginning of the Christmas season.

Following the service, we will make our way to the historic Carpenters’ Hall, where a drinks reception will be followed by our much-loved Annual Breakfast. The President, Chairman and Civic Team look forward to welcoming you and your guests.

The sumptuous feast, which we affectionately call ‘The Breakfast’, promises an afternoon of good company, excellent food and festive cheer. As is tradition, the celebrations will continue with musical entertainment and our customary frivolities, bringing a little extra Christmas spirit to the occasion.

The timetable for the day is as follows:

11.00 am – Service of Lessons & Carols at St Lawrence Jewry
12.30 pm – Drinks Reception at Carpenters’ Hall
1.00 pm –  Breakfast

Tickets are priced at £135 per person, inclusive of reception drinks, breakfast, wines and coffee & petit fours
